Where to Now?

Opinions wanted on what to do with this blog, I am pretty open-minded as long as it remains progressive and left wing.

any ideas?

  1. Rory,

    It Is Great!

I'm glad you've decided to keep the blog working. As I told you, it's a place where different perspectives are reviewed freely. On the other side, with having three contributers from different cultural backgrounds, it's a great example of peaceful coexistence and exchanged understanding. That's what make it a wonderful place.

Thanks Rory so much for keeping the blog.

I don't have any specific ideas on how it may work in the future when I don't know the reason why you decided to delete it, but if it will remain a place of understanding each other's culture and knowledge then it will remain a great blog.

  2. Mohamed,

Your welcome, personally I am going to try to shift my post away from politics and perhaps towards culture. The blog can sometimes get a bit controversial.

  3. Write whatever you enjoy writing, be it politics, culture, the dog:)- there are no set rules saying you've got to stick to one or the other.

Muslim-speak for, "You're a clueless tool. Thank you for lending me some credibility with others just like you."

  5. O'Neill,

yeah you're right. The thing now is that my main political ideas will be going to the Republican Socialist Forum so I'm not sure what to put here. Yeah, more dogs I think!

    Anonymous,

Mahomed had a lot of credibility long before he bacmae a contributor to this blog. Totally anonymous comments like yours on the ther hand have none.

  6. Write on whatever takes your fancy. Wexford hurling? UK elections?religion? music? books?plight of Manchester United?

  7. John,

Wexford Hurling would depress me the way things are.
I could write about the joys of being a Newcastle Utd fan, but then everyone would get jealous.
As for the UK election, I really don't care, I might do a few music and book reviews all right and religion always seems to crop up.

  8. I came by here a few times and found the blog down...too bad, I thought, I was just starting to like this place.
Very glad to see it back and know you're okay.
What to do? I hate to say, do what I do, but I just do what I like, soooo? Maybe you should too!
Sometimes, I have no inspiration and I think that I will never have an original thought again, and then I do.

  9. Oh yes. Let me see...Yep, I get 'original thoughts' - My mind works like lightning too; just one brilliant flash..and it's gone! - reb

Right now, I'm compiling a three-ring binder, punching holes in the paper, and this binder is quite special - it has a transparent front cover for the first page displaying a Holy Book! It's only 8 pages, but it took someone very bright to research it, so I can't take the credit. If anyone is curious, try...

Mohamed might like it; it directly quotes from his favorite book. A fine reference point for anyone with a curious mind. - reb

  11. I spotted someone from Lenore City in your Live Feed Traffic, and that's under one hour drive from me; anyone know this person? - reb

  12. Hi Microdot,

Yeah, I'm just going to put up what a feel like from now on.

    Reb,

I suspect that is you registering as Lenore city on the traffic feed. It will register wherever your Internet Service Provider's local base is, you can change it to register your home town or city, I can't remember how, but I used to come up as Dublin, Ireland, where my ISP is based until I changed it.

  13. Rory - Your suspicions have no foundation; I haven't a clue why you believe that I would indulge in such deception. A straight-shooter doesn't hide his feelings or political beliefs,
or religious ideals, or even a lack thereof.

You have stated that you are 90% Atheist, and that you are 10% Catholic, also a Socialist, and an unapologetic Friend of Islam. Fine. I like an honest man, and if he prefers self-deception, so be it.

It's tough to change anyone's political or religious notions once they are set in stone.

On the other hand, I look for historical fact-based evidence, rather than foolishly relying on "emotion-based feelings". See our 'Continuum of Wars' {post} where I've listed Holy Jihad's 1400 years of struggle; (Find a single error, and I'll be grateful to you, or to Mohamed Fadly.)

The Mind Is A Sponge; It will soak up whatever
is in the neighborhood, both negative & postive, so choose your path carefully!

  14. Rory - When I spotted that Live Traffic Feed
from Lenore City, and you suspected it was this old snakehunter playing games, you were mistaken; so, I tracked it down for you.

It's "Woman, Honor Thyself" blog. If she ever
gets to Oak Ridge, I'll buy the Starbuck's &
Apple Danish. Hey, I'm a big spender! - reb

  16. Rory - In June (can't recall where) I read that
you were groovin' again, with some friends, with booze & grass; that's too bad. I had some positive thoughts when you said that you were
dropping the tobacco habit; then you switch to
cannibus toxin? If you're laying out the cash for the suds & buds, you'll always have those friends; they are self-destructive too! - reb

I've recently rec'd a FirstEdition Galley-Proof of a possible best-seller. This author has certainly done the necessary research!
    >
It's "The Grand Jihad" by Andrew C. McCarthy.
(Perhaps Mohamed Fadly would be interested.)
